Why Customers Ask “What’s the Price?” Then Disappear
The Pricing Paradox
It’s incredibly frustrating. A prospect seems interested, they ask for your price, you send it over… and then crickets. Ghosted. Why does this happen?
It usually happens because of a lack of perceived value.
Positioning Value Over Price
If you haven’t clearly articulated the value of your service before revealing the price, the customer will only evaluate you based on cost. And there is always someone cheaper.
- Focus on the Outcome: Don’t sell the features of your service; sell the outcome. What problem are you solving?
- Provide Social Proof: Show them that others have paid this price and received immense value.
- Offer Guarantees: Reduce their risk by offering a satisfaction guarantee or a clear refund policy.
When the perceived value exceeds the price, the sale becomes effortless.
